RECRUITING

Our goal is to recruit area youth and give them a foundation in public service to become future members of Kalamazoo Public Safety.  Advisors and Explorers actively recruit at each event we attend.  We visit several area schools and Public Safety youth academies.

The Post continues to recruit new members through our EFE program (Education for Employment) which is a high school academic program taught by KDPS Officer/ Explorer Advisor Jeff Crouse.

All growing up I wanted to be a Police Officer. When I was a teenager I joined the Kalamazoo Public Safety Explorer Post. I was an Explorer for 4 years prior to getting hired as an Officer."
