Jimmy John’s Driver Robbed

Kalamazoo, MI: On Wednesday, December 12th, 2012, at approximately 10:01 p.m., Kalamazoo Public Safety officers responded to a reported armed robbery at the Arboretum Apartments.  Responding officers located the victim, a 20 year-old male employee of Jimmy John’s, who reported being robbed by two subjects armed with a gun.


The victim told officers that he was making a delivery in the 4300 block of Thornapple Grove when he was approached by two subjects in the parking lot.   One of the subjects pointed a silver handgun at him and demeaned that he turned over his money and cell phone.  The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene on foot.  The victim was not injured during the robbery.


A Kalamazoo Public Safety K9 team attempted a track of the suspect however they were not located.  The first suspect, who was armed with the handgun, is described as a black male in his early 20’s, 5’8”, 160-170 lbs wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black baggy pants. The second suspect is described as a black male in his early 20’s, 6’2”, 230 lbs, wearing black hooded sweatshirt, black baggy pants and a red bandana over his face.
